Plug and Jeco Energies partner to deliver Shore Power as a Service for container vessels

Plug is pleased to announce a new partnership with Jeco Energies to accelerate the deployment of shore power solutions for container terminals. By combining complementary expertise, the collaboration enables ports and terminal operators to adopt shore power through a seamless “Shore Power as a Service” model, allowing them to stay focused on their core business.

This partnership brings together two strong players. Jeco Energies contributes over 30 years of experience in delivering turnkey electrical infrastructure to the industrial maritime sector. With deep EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) capabilities, Jeco provides end-to-end solutions; from design and engineering to installation and system optimisation.

Plug invests in critical shore power infrastructure, reducing the financial barrier for ports and accelerating the transition to low-emission operations. We frequently invest in partnership with ports and terminal owners, creating aligned interests and shared commitment to long-term performance. Plug complements to Jeco with long-term financing capacity and more than a decade of operational experience in onshore power supply (OPS). Through data-driven forecasting and advanced digital platforms, Plug ensures efficient, reliable, and scalable OPS operations.

Together, Plug and Jeco Energies reduce complexity and risk for customers by offering a fully integrated solution that covers financing, construction, and operations.
