Molde og Romsdal Havn IKS (MRH) and Plug are partnering to develop shore power facilities for the cruise ports in Molde and Åndalsnes.
To support this effort, MRH and Plug have established a 50/50 joint venture named Plug Romsdal, jointly owned by the Port of Molde & Romsdal and Plug AS. The company will be responsible for developing and operating shore power infrastructure in the region.
The upcoming shore power facility at Storkaia in Molde will have a capacity of up to 12 MVA and will be able to supply power to one cruise ship at a time.
